ROMANS TACTICAL ADVICE

First it is best to stay low on your troop count until about 100-150population-depending on style of play. Start of by building your barracks and upgrading to level 3, then build a academy and armoury and blacksmith.

Now go to your academy and research Prets.

So after this you can train Legionnaires and pretorians.

First of build about 100 legionnaires NO MORE!!! And then reaid a few people, then you can start to build up your defensive army around 200 pop, get about 100 to 500 pretorians, its up to you the more the better! After this upgrade your academy to level 5, and you barracks to level 5. This shortens your troop training time and enables you to research Imperians, as soon as you can do so. Then train about 200imps and start to kill of your legionnaires, unless you want them for your defensive army. You now should have about 0legs 500prets 200imps or 250legs 250prets 200imps. Then you build a stable and research your scouts and the upgrade the stable to level 5 and reserach the fastest and the biggest capacity space of the roman army EI!! Build about 100 of them but note they are expensive and heavy on wheat count!

ATTACKING ROMANS

When attacking legionnaires you have to be careful, as these are cheap but suprisingly strong. Always scout first if you are up against legionnaires below a 100 count then attack using legionnaires use this many troops
Attacker

However if you are trying to lower your troops loses use this many

Casualties 100 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

Now if you are attacking a person with over 100 legionnaires lets say 500 always use imperians and EI

Casualties 0 0 138 0 100 0 0 0 0 0

Defender
Units 500 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Casualties 500 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

This is avery expensive loss on your part so maybe use more like this

Casualties 0 0 58 0 58 0 0 0 0 0

Defender

Casualties 500 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

However that still is quite a expensive loss so maybe don't attack him to much.

If you have defend against Legionnaires then here is what to do

100 legionnaires coming at you? EASY!!

Defender

And even better prets are cheaper so use them if you just have legionnaires coming at you!!
